What is PCI?
Pickleball Coaching International is an industry leader in coach education. Our mission is to grow the sport of pickleball by providing high-quality education to current and aspiring pickleball instructors.
How Does It Work?
Pickleball Coaching International has two streams — one that involves instructor training and certification and one that does not. If you choose the non-certification route, you can become a PCI member and immediately access our first-rate resources. This includes dozens of videos focused on pickleball tactics and technique, as well as training activities you can use with your players. US-based PCI members can also access liability insurance and great deals from our partners.
If you want to take things one step farther, you can enrol in our certification program. You’ll instantly be emailed Training Materials and can get to work on your own schedule and at your own speed. Our Level 1 certification program is 100% online which means no costly or inconvenient travel, and you have the flexibility to move through the program on your timeline.
Our other programs use a hybrid model that combines online and in-person training and more details and a schedule will be released in 2021.
how do i use the Site?
Like a good pickleball lesson, this website has both obvious and more subtle elements to it. We’ve designed it so you can explore and discover new things each time you visit. Here’s a roadmap to get you started.
Videos. We’ve categorized our videos into three distinct groups:
Technical Fundamentals is all about looking at the most effective ways to have your players use their body and paddle.
Training Activities provide examples of drills and games you can have your players use to practice new skills while having lots of fun.
People Organization is focused on placing and moving people on the court no matter what your class size looks like.
Articles. This section is great if you like thinking about coaching. We’ve touched on everything from philosophy to the practicalities of the best ways to feed balls to your players. A favourite section of thoughtful instructors.
Pro Tools. This section is all about making your life easier. Download charting tools to track your players’ progress, print lesson plan templates to schedule your class, and listen to audio files focused on the business of coaching.
Case Studies. Poor grips, careless movement patterns, and overly ambitious decision-making. This section uses live-action clips to identify and solve the most common problems pickleball instructors will face.

By having your instructors become certified with PCI, your club is signalling a commitment to high-quality coach education and competency-based expertise.
Another benefit to your club is that we offer group pricing. When six or more people from the same club join PCI, we are happy to offer a discount.

Non-Certification Programs

US Based - $299 International - $239
